Brown Sugar Glaze:

1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar


cooking spray
1 onion, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco ® )
1/2 cup milk
2/3 cup quick cooking oats
1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork
1/2 pound ground veal


In a mixing bowl, combine cider vinegar, brown sugar, and
ketchup until well mixed.

Set oven to 350 ° F (175 ° C) to preheat. Line two 9×5-inch loaf
pans with aluminum foil or coat with cooking spray.

Put green pepper and onion in a microwave container; cook,
covered for 1 to 2 minutes until tender; put to one side and allow
to cool.

Combine oats, milk, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard,
black pepper, seasoned salt, thyme, eggs, and garlic in a large
mixing bowl; stir well. Mix in cooked green pepper and onion.

Separate meat mixture into 2 equal portions; press each portion
into a loaf pan. Brush half of the glaze over loaves; set aside the
remaining glaze.

Bake for 50 minutes in the preheated oven. Take loaf pans out of
the oven; drain fat carefully. Brush the remainder of glaze over
loaves. Put the pans back into the oven; bake for 10 minutes
longer. Take the loaf pans out of the oven; allow meatloaf to rest
for 15 minutes before cutting.
